This policy explains how Bruce the Handyman handles information provided through this website.
Information you provide
Contact requests may include your name, phone number, email address, requested service, and message. Quote requests may also include a service address, repair description, urgency, estimate information, and a photo when one is attached to the quote.
The client agreement collects the client information, service details, date, and electronic signature needed to record the agreement.
Smart Repair Estimate photos
Photos added directly to the Smart Repair Estimate are analyzed in your browser. They are not sent to the server for that analysis. If you later attach information or a photo to a quote request, that submission is handled as part of the quote request.
Technical information
Quote requests may record basic request and device information such as IP address, browser user agent, referring page, screen size, and browser language. This information helps Bruce review and respond to requests and protect the service from misuse.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to review requests, provide estimates, schedule work, communicate with customers, maintain business records, and operate the website. Quote information is stored in the application database. Contact and quote notifications may be delivered to Bruce through Resend email and Twilio text messaging. These providers process only the information needed to deliver those notifications.
Cookies and analytics
The public website does not currently include a third-party analytics tracker or advertising pixel. Administrative interface preferences may use a functional cookie. Browser and server infrastructure may also use information needed to deliver and secure the website.
Retention and security
Information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable business or legal obligations. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no website or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask about, correct, or request deletion of information by contacting Bruce. Some records may need to be retained for legitimate business or legal obligations.
